Miniguide for Solo Red Fatalis with Profusion

1 - Weapon and Armor set up

Note:
3 cool drinks are enough to last you till the end
the trick is when with 150 full HP, only use cool drink when you are really low on HP (about 20 or so)
this way each of the cool drink will give you an extra 5 minutes of time
with all 3 together 15 x 3 you can get 45 minutes, which is totally enough for this battle
of course, this also mean if you get killed, even once, then you can not finish this quest
so all depends on your skill. JUST DON'T GET HIT!

3 - Battle Step

Again, the following steps are for Profusion only, but you can get the idea for other bowgun
1) When the quest starts, run to the side as soon as you take control of your charactor to avoid the deadly
body slam attack
2) Stand in front of this red guy, shoot its head and chest with your pierce s Lv 1 and 2, as well as combining
Huskberry and Velociprey Fang to get more. What you want to do here is to break its eyes, horns and chest
if you are good at using Pierce shots, this should be very easy
keep some distance to avoid its loud scream since you don't have high grade earplug skill
3) Take note when you using pierce shot attack from the front, it will either use fireball, cast meteor rain,
flying fireball or does the sky dive attack. The others are very easy to avoid but the meteor rain, especially
when you stand in front of it. The trick is to open you scope aim first, then turn it off right away so
you can roll to the side as soon as you can when in danger
4) It is very easy to tell when is it gonna attack when it is on the ground:
it will slowly walk for 3 steps, then does its attack.
so every time just shoot 4 pierce shots, then watch what it will do next
5) After all the pierce shot have been used, its eyes, horns and chest should be broken.
now it is time for your clust shot on stage.
remember the impact of clust shot does almost no damage, it's the explosions that are working
for best damage of each clust shot, aim at red guy's back, the spot between its wings.
do not waste these powerful shots
6) After all 50 clust lv 2 shots are gone, use your sleep shots to let it have some beauty sleep
with all your Sleep shots there, you can at least let it sleep twice
every time when it goes to sleep, place 2 large bomb+ near its wings, and use your normal S lv3
to blow them up.
7) The red guy should be almost dead by now. use the rest large bomb+ as well as your normal S lv3
to finish it up. Plant the bombs when it flies, or run around it to make it turns, so you can place the bomb
If you work everything right, the battle should only last for 35 to 40 minutes.
8) Last and most important tip of all: DON'T GET HIT when you are a gunner!

4 - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I've used all my pierce shots, but just can't seem to break all eyes, horns and chest?
A: You are doing wrong with pierce shots. when using pierce shots, you don't want to get too far away
from you target. The longer the distance your bullet travel, the weaker the damge will be for pierce shots.
so stay close but not too close, just enough to be outside from its scream range to keep yourself safe
Q: Why do you need bombs for fatalis fight?
A: Each large bomb+ does 150 set damage to fatalis, which is a GREAT amount. With bomber skill from Felyne Mask,
the damage is even greater: 150 x 1.5 = 225 set damage for each large bomb+
with 25 large bomb+ plus Felyne Mask, the total damage you can deal is up to 225 x 25 = 5625 (!!!!)
check the HP data of each monster, and see for yourself how HUGE this damage actually is
you can easily solo any fatalis quest with any weapon type if you can make it happen
