Nintendo Wins Creative Marketing Award for Commercial

GameSpot.com has announced the list of winners for their first annual Game TV Commercial Awards and Sweepstakes. These awards, for games commercials that aired during the holiday season, recognized the most creative video game commercials on television. The winners were chosen in December by 50,000 GameSpot.com users who participated in the contest, viewing and then voting on the 121 nominated commercials.

Nintendo took first place for its commercial titled ?chool? Out?/i>. This commercial, created by Leo Burnett, USA is set in Japan, where school aged kids await the final school bell. The bell rings and they then run out of the classroom, jump trains, avoid cars, and fly over buildings to reach a Nintendo store, where they then appear in front of the store manager as various Nintendo characters, in order to pick up hot new release games.
