大概的意思是在本届CES 2005上,原本日版PSP首发期间的几款大作如合金装备ACID、恶魔战士编年史和全民高尔夫的具体发售日均未公布,不像其他游戏都已有了大约的发售时间。这几款游戏的发售时间资料只写有“2005年”而已。

也就是说,期待在3月份买到这些作品的英文版大概是不可能了

If you're wondering how deep the story gets in Metal Gear Acid, you're going to have to ask somebody who reads Japanese. If you're need to know what SCEA is planning for all your chibi Japanese characters in Hot Shots Golf, you're going to have to wait. If you're eager to know what the PSP version of Dynasty Warriors adds to the ages-old Romance of the Three Kingdoms tale told in the game ... well, one, you haven't played the last four or five Dynasty Warrior games, but two, you're not going to see English-language impressions here.


With incredibly tight timelines and perhaps little in-code work programmed in so far of the translations and non-Japanese-audience tweaks, several key Japanese games were debuted at the CES PSP event in the form of retail Japanese games instead of beta-quality US versions. This included Dynasty Warriors, Ridge Racer (known here under that name instead of the more hinting Ridge Racers), Darkstalkers Chronicle, Hot Shots Golf, and most disappointingly, Metal Gear Acid. These games have release dates spread all across the North American PSP schedule (Acid is currently listed as just '2005', so it might be later for us that it was after the import release) and are likely in various states of development as far as translations go.
We've talked to published involved in this PSP unveiling, and can tell you that no amount of hardship or expense was spared to get this gig together. Unlike TGS's more loose timelines (which was still no walk in the park), all of the games for the CES event had to be put together for demo play long in advance so that they could be pressed to UMD (each playable PSP here at CES was a Japanese retail model, not a show version of the US system.) SCEI in Japan is the only outlet that can make UMDs right now, so these playable builds are actually the first time most of these developers have seen their games running on real, working PSPs instead of their less-shiny dev kit debug units.

That being the case, it's not a statement of these Japanese games being late since the CES build was not the US preview edition -- it just made sense to save the money, time and hair-pulling frustration to run the fully-working import versions for showgoers here in Vegas.

In other news from Japan and not from Vegas, a few titles were noticeably absent at the CES event that we assumed were a shoo-in for domestic release. Not for play in Vegas was Bandai's Lumines, Sega's Puyo Pop and SCE Japan's Ape Escape Academia (which is getting a European release, but curiously, it was the Ape Escape platformer -- the one NOT scheduled for Europe yet -- that was playable at CES. Our win, as the platformer, even though very early and very buggy in its first playable build, may be the game more fans of the series are looking forward to.) The budget puzzlers Kollon and Puzzle Bobble Pocket were also not here in Vegas, which is probably fine by us for the time being. The strategy-only Armored Core: Formula Front showed up on the video wall several times (for unknown reasons -- Fromsoft would be taking a big risk translating this over as is, even though the depth would be welcomed by some of the hardest hardcore,) but was not playable or announced for release.

There is no word on if any of these companies have plans for release of these titles outside of Japan.

PSP本来就发售的仓促...游戏开发完成度可能还很低呢~
以前的软件阵容只是替PSP打打气了...还是等!
