7.5 Presentation
Nice built-in encyclopedia and historical elements, but they don't tie into the button-mashing gameplay whatsoever.
4.5 Graphics
Koei might as well have made the PS2 version backward compatible. Character models and such are reasonable, but the environments are pretty barren. Animations could use a lot of work as well.
4.5 Sound
Terrible voice acting and generic effects make this sub-par.
5.0 Gameplay
The fighting system is bad, but the strategic elements of the Empire mode are decent.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
Fans will spend plenty of time running through the Empire mode again and again and racking up achievments.
