本作是《海豹突击队》（SOCOM）系列登陆PSP掌机平台的第三款作品，由SCEA旗下同时担任PS3版《海豹突击队 对峙》的开发小组 Slant Six Games 负责开发。
与前作相比，《海豹突击队 战术打击》（SOCOM : U.S.Navy Seals Tactical Strike）可以说为该系列开辟了一个崭新的领域。游戏的类型由之前的战术FPS类，转变为现在更偏向于即时战略类的游戏方式。玩家不再使用类比摇杆控制单个队员的行动，而是一个移动的指针对整个小队的成员发出命令，从全局的角度来指挥这个作战。游戏开发者表示，希望通过新的尝试，进一步加强本作在战术模拟方面的逼真程度和游戏体验。《海豹突击队 战术打击》的多人在线对战系统也不会让你失望，游戏中每一处都需要掩护，每一处都有敌人，是一款漂亮的游戏。游戏目前预定2007年11月份发售，喜欢的玩家请关注吧。
