'We're definitely a rock band,' says the 20-year-old Lee. 'But the twist is that the band's music is epic, dramatic, dark rock.' Co-founders Lee and guitarist/songwriter Ben Moody met while in their early teens. 'We were at a youth camp,' Moody recalls. 'During some sort of recreational period held in a gymnasium, I heard Amy playing Meat Loaf's 'I'd Do Anything for Love' at the piano. So I went over to meet her, and she started singing for me. I was pretty much blown away, so I suckered her into joining a band with me.' Since that day, the musical relationship has remained dependably loyal. 'We have the same exact vision regarding what we love about music,' Moody says. 'When it comes to songwriting, we finish each other's thoughts.' 和声比较接近宗教哥特 但是注意 只是接近
因为配乐的关系 不属于宗教哥特 稍微有些交响乐金属的苗头 却也不属于...@_@

我们也就非常笼统的称之为金属摇滚=_=
其实就我看来 风格可以说是Alternative Metal与Goth Metal的一个综合体
Evanescence乐队的整体音乐包含了Goth与Alternative的共同特点 但是在Goth方面 Evanescence却未达到传统意义Goth的那份境界
当我们听到Evanescence的缥缈 刚想沉浸其中 像大多数新金属一样的简单旋律便会突如其来 占据着歌曲的后半部分
所以很多时候 都是开头的配乐属于明显的哥特风格 而到后半部就....
当然女主唱amy lee的唱功一流 在Goth Metal应该属于Ethereal 就是所谓的仙乐派- -+++
