Excavate is a new term that is very important to the upcoming “Sylvan” monsters in Legacy of the Valiant. Here’s the definition of Excavate:

When a card says to “excavate” cards from your Deck, you reveal those cards to both players. Then, before you do anything else, apply the instructions from the card effect that excavated them. Cards that are being excavated are still treated as being in the Deck until sent elsewhere by the card instructions.

IMPORTANT: Note that “excavate” and “reveal” are not always the same thing. Some cards will “reveal” cards but not “excavate” them. Noble Knight Borz is a good example of this.

2014年3月28日 Premium Gold*

Premium Gold* includes some of the greatest hits from the old Gold Series sets, adds a ton of new cards, and introduces the new GOLD SECRET card rarity!

Until now, Gold Rare Cards have only been available through a limited number of stores. But Premium Gold* will be available everywhere that you normally buy the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Gold Rares for everyone!!

Gold Rares are the king of bling: Gold card frames, Gold art box frames, Gold text box frames, Gold card names, and (for monsters) Gold level stars!

The new GOLD SECRETS take all of that and add a Secret Rare Card’s textured foil pattern on top of it.

Premium Gold* will be sold in small boxes, each of which will contain 3 mini-packs. Each 5-card Premium Gold* mini-pack contains 2 Gold Secrets and 3 Gold Rares.

Each Gold Secret will be either a brand new, never-before-seen card, or one of the legendary God Cards from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series!

The 3 Gold Rares in each mini-pack come in two varieties. One of the Gold Rares is a card never released as a Gold Rare before. The other 2 Gold Rares are some of the most popular Gold Rares from previous Gold Series sets (with updated Problem-Solving Card Text, of course).

Premium Gold* boxes (MSRP $14.99) each contain 3 mini-packs, for a total of 15 cards: 6 Gold Secrets and 9 Gold Rares.

You can target 1 “Noble Knight” monster you control; equip this card from your hand or Graveyard to that target. You can only use this effect of “Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms” once per turn. The equipped monster gains 300 ATK. Apply the appropriate effect, depending on the Attribute of the equipped monster.
●LIGHT: If the equipped monster would be destroyed by a card effect, you can destroy this card instead.
●DARK: If the equipped monster battles an opponent’s monster, at the start of the Damage Step: You can destroy that monster, then destroy this card.
可以选择自己场上存在的1只名字带有"Noble Knight"的怪兽；从自己手卡或墓地把这张卡给选择的怪兽装备。"Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms"的这个效果1回合只能使用1次。装备怪兽的攻击力上升300。根据装备怪兽的属性，适用以下效果。
●光属性：装备怪兽被卡的效果破坏的场合，可以作为代替把这张卡破坏。

In addition to Equip Spell Cards, sometimes Trap Cards or Monster Cards can become equipped to a monster. Equipped Traps remain Trap Cards, but equipped monsters are considered to be Equip Spells. The term “Equip Card” includes all 3 kinds (standard Equip Spells, equipped Traps, and equipped monsters).
