Nintendo Japan has shed light on a problem with one of its Japanese Nintendo DS launch titles, Sawaru: Made in Wario. According to the company, when paired with a small number of DS units, three of the included mini games behave improperly.
Specifically, the following three games are said to have problems:
Mame Denkyuu: you cannot draw the lines required to clear the mini game.
Kurai Heya: When you touch the flashes of light that appear on screen, they flicker and you cannot find a character that's required to clear the mini game.
Doukasen: Same problem as with Mame Denkyuu -- you're incapable of properly draw lines.
Nintendo will be offering a free replacement for Sawaru: Made in Wario for those who encounter these problems. Our Japan-based readers in need of a replacement will want to fill out the requisite web form at Nintendo's website. Replacements will begin shipping after 12/24 in the order that requests were received. Due to the wonders of Japan's postal system, you'll be able to keep your copy of the game until your replacement has arrived.
As stated, this problem only appears when the game is paired with certain NDS units. If you do not have any problems now, you won't need to get a replacement copy. Future titles will not have such problems, according to Nintendo. |
