Technical and Historical Notes
During the conflict that would become known as the Eve Wars, nothing was more feared than the Gundams. The Romefeller Foundation, in its pursuit of new weapons that would allow them to dominate the war and the Earth, turned to their arch-enemies for inspiration. In secret, they constructed new mass production Gundams, each based specifically on one of the five rebel Gundams. The XXXG-00W0S Wing Gundam Seraphim, based off of the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero, was intended to be a general purpose machine. Other than cosmetic changes, the biggest difference between Seraphim and Zero was that the shield-like main wings were moved from the back to the skirt armor, allowing Seraphim to fly in the atmosphere. Its weapons loadout was basic but functional, with two beam sabers and a buster rifle capable of high output. The most important feature, however, was an improved version of the Zero System. Codenamed Zero 2.5, this system provided much better technical data and information, but had the drawback of taking control of the mobile suit sometimes when activated. It should be noted, however, that Zero 2.5 lacked the mental effects which its predecessors possessed.
At least six Wing Seraphim units were produced at Romefeller's secret plant on colony X-18722, but with the end of the Eve Wars shortly thereafter, they never saw action. The following January, a group of civilians broke into the plant and stole several Gundams. Tiel Noembreux, the leader of the expedition, stole a Wing Seraphim for herself, hoping to use Zero 2.5 to locate her missing brother. Because information on this incident was not well-reported, the fate of the Seraphims, including Tiel's stolen unit, is unknown.

Technical and Historical Notes
Finding their power waning, the Romefeller Foundation struggled to regain the hold they had once had over the world. In an attempt to rebuild its military power following Queen Relena Peacecraft's disarmament, the Foundation secretly began building more mobile suits, this time in secret. Taking inspiration from their greatest foes, they constructed a series of mass production model Gundams, each mimicking the design and function of one of the five rebel machines. Before completion of the production model equivalent of the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero, however, a single test unit was constructed. Dubbed XXXG-00W0L Gundam Lucifer, the machine's entire purpose was to test out an improved version of the Zero System. This modified system provided better and more detailed information than the systems in either Wing Zero or its rival, the OZ-13MS Gundam Epyon. However, these improvements came with a price; just as the benefits were strengthened, so were the flaws. While the original Zero System merely urged its pilot to follow certain courses of action, Version 2.0 actually forced them to follow these paths. This is what lead test pilot Karl Noembreux to run away, compelled to bring peace by eliminating war-like parties. His disappearance is what set his young sister Tiel to impulsively chase him, setting the events of January AC 196 into motion.
