Will the effect of the Grandmaster still be applied if he was destroyed and removed from play by an opponent's card effect instead of going to the Graveyard?
Would you be able to return a "Six Samurai" from your Graveyard in this case?
Thanks.

Answer:
Since "Grandmaster of the Six Samurai" does not have the restriction "and sent to the Graveyard", its effect will still activate.
Its effect will be used to target a "Six Samurai" that is in the Graveyard at the time its effect is activated.
Can Grandmaster of the Six Samurai target itself to be to return to the hand via it's own effect?

Answer:
When your "Grandmaster of the Six Samurai" is destroyed by your opponent's card effect, its Trigger Effect activates in the Graveyard. It sees itself in the Graveyard and since it's a "Six Samurai", it can target itself and return itself to your hand.
