E3参展游戏厂商展位布置图

一年一度的游戏盛会，美国E3展将于5月12～14日在美国加州洛杉矶国际会议中心盛大举办，E3展的规模一向庞大，是东京电玩展的五倍以上，而今年E3展也共计有来自全球400多家厂商共襄盛举，展出超过上千款的各平台游戏，是最热闹的电玩盛会喔!!

今年E3展一样是在总面积占地100万平方公尺的洛杉矶国际会议中心，而按照惯例这次E3展还是有五大展馆，其实每个展馆的面积都不小，加上各参展厂商使出全身解数的营造自己的优势，更是百家争鸣热闹可期喔，而这五大展馆的简单介绍如下：

●南馆：

五大展馆中最大的展区，室内面积就几乎是台北世贸中心的两倍以上，而E3展的主要厂商都集中在南馆，如微软、EA、CAPCOM、KONAMI、NAMCO、SQUARE－ENIX...等都在南馆，而微软展区规模更是整个南馆中最大，而微软也是此次E3展最大的参展厂商

●西馆：

五大馆中第二大的展区，而其中最大的是SCEI与任天堂，这两家就几乎占了整个西馆面积的一半，另外还有TECMO、BANDAI...等厂商在此

●Knentia馆：

位在南馆下方的地下室，是俗称的欧韩馆，来自欧洲、亚洲（尤其是韩国）的游戏厂商大多集中在此，是现场厂商密集度最高的展区

●Concourse馆：

位在南馆与西馆中间连接走道处，这里比较重要的是SEGA与Accliam公司在此。不过讶异的是SEGA以前的展区都在西馆，今年却被安排到Concourse馆，也间接见证了SEGA势力的慢慢衰落。

●Petree馆：位在西馆前方大厅，只有Midway与ATARI两家厂商

对了，在E3展前的5月10日11日，其实还有最重要的“E3展前说明会”举办，三大主机商都会在此时公布最新最震撼的消息，这也是E3展最重要的卖点。至于三大厂商的E3展前说明会时间如下：

·微软：美国西岸时间5月10日晚上19:30开始（本地时间为5月10日10:30）

·任天堂：美国西岸时间5月11日早上10:30开始（本地时间为5月12日02:30）

·ＳＣＥ：美国西岸时间5月11日晚上13:30开始（本地时间为5月12日05:30）

E3大展的缘起

如果把1972年Nolan Bushnell放在森尼维尔市Andy Caps酒吧墙脚的木桶上面的乒乓游戏机作为电子游戏产业的滥觞的话，那么截止到1994年，美国的电子游戏从无到有，已是历经了22年的风风雨雨。1981年的一项数据统计表明，Atari公司该年度的收入总计为10亿美元，是同年好莱坞电影业的2倍，是棒球、篮球和足球门票收入总和的3倍。电子娱乐的产业格局已经形成，其巨大的含金量吸引了无数狂热的掘金者。就像许多冒险游戏一样，这个行业本身就充满了机遇与挑战。任天堂、世嘉、Namco、3DO、EA、Activision……他们都各携利刃，虎视眈眈，伺机而动。

   而摆在消费者面前的问题就是：面对这越来越多游戏产品，哪一款才是适合我的？家长们则担心一些游戏产品中的色情、暴力等问题，会对孩子的成长造成影响。1994年，在EA、Activision等公司的倡导下，美国的游戏厂商联合起来，成立了“互动数码软件协会”（Interactive Digital Software Association，简称IDSA）。IDSA的主要职责是游戏市场的研究和咨询、应对全球范围内越来越严重的盗版游戏现象，而现在，他们要做的头一件事情，就是仿照好莱坞电影市场的规划模式，对电视（电脑）游戏进行分级和分类。作为美国专门服务电脑及游戏机游戏厂商的组织，这是他们份内的工作：吸取其它行业的经验来保证协会企业成员的最大利益。事实证明他们的工作是卓有成效的，在很短的时间内，市面上的待售游戏都加上了IDSA标签，说明游戏的内容类型，以及适应的年龄阶段。家长们藉此很容易为自己的孩子找到合适的游戏。鉴于家庭用户是游戏软件消费的主力群体，IDSA很快就声名雀起，在游戏业界树立了良好的形象，确立了自己的影响力。

   在当时，世界上还没有专门的电子游戏展览。游戏厂商要想通过展览会来宣传自己的产品，一般是参加每年两次的消费电子产品大展（Consumer Electronics Show，简称为CES）。这个展会首届举办于1967年，是全球最有影响力的消费类电子设备大展，1970年的磁带录像机、1974年的LD播放机、1981年的便携式摄像机、1990年的数字声音技术等，都是首先亮相于此。在这样的大规模展会中，作为消费电子产品的一个很小分支的电子游戏，也就无法吸引足够多的注意力。这对于观赏效果极强的电子游戏来说，不能不说是一个极大的缺憾。于是IDSA总裁Douglas Lowenstein决定筹办一个专门的国际电子娱乐展览，名称定为Electronic Entertainment Expo，也就是现在为我们所熟知的E3大展。和其它展会不同，E3大展将内容定为“即将发布但尚未完成的、制作中的电脑和电视游戏及相关产品” 的展会，这个聪明的定位充分显示了IDSA对于游戏特性的深刻理解和杰出的市场策划能力——游戏是一种基于互动式体验的艺术，制作中的优秀游戏在展会上崭露头角，不但不会让消费者失去神秘感，相反，会加深他们的印象，扩大影响，进而提升游戏未来的销量。因为游戏和电影不一样：游戏是用来玩的，而不是用来看的。同时，为了和他们通过电子游戏分级制度所建立起来的有责任心的形象相符合，IDSA规定E3展览只向游戏业界人士开放，而且，18岁以下的人禁止入场——包括婴儿。

   看起来，首届E3的开办的确是集天时地利人和于一身了。果不其然，1995年5月11日至13日在洛杉矶会议中心举办的时候，应者云集，参展厂商超过400家，三日累计参观者达到4万人，成为90年代首屈一指的商业活动。

   良好的开端使E3此后的发展一帆风顺。到1997年6月底亚特兰大的展览之后，E3已经确立了在电子娱乐产业界中至高无上的地位，表现在展会的规模大、参展作品水平高、展览组织管理井井有序、参展厂商来自世界各地等方面。更重要的是，在本届E3之后，一个为所有参展作品进行评选的活动就由主流游戏媒体（包括网络媒体和纸质媒体）的编辑们举办起来了，名字叫做“E3游戏批评家大奖”（Best of E3 Game Critics Awards）。（国内许多媒体都将此奖项误传为E3大展的官方评奖，这是极不严谨的。IDSA是美国游戏厂商的协会组织，要在自己主办的展会上公然搞评奖，厚此薄彼，怕是不利于展览之后的发展。）由于这个奖项的评委都来自于美国的强势游戏媒体，对于自己搞出来的成果，总是不遗余力地进行推广宣传，所以其评选结果在当年就炙手可热——凡是能够荣登金榜的，此后的销量就有了保证，开发公司也能够随之一夜成名。这个奖项于是成为厂商们征战E3的一个重要理由，一如电影厂商之于奥斯卡、歌手之于格莱美。随后的几年里，依附于E3的奖项比比皆是，如Game Revolution、GameCenter、GameSpot、GameSpy、IGN.com等组织都对E3的参展作品进行评奖，尽管由于他们的出发点、立足点各不相同，评奖结果也各有出入，但借助于他们的宣传能力，E3的地位更趋强化，也使参展的游戏厂商受益更多。

   而后的各届展会上，你都能看到组织者在巩固展览地位、服务于参展厂商方面所做的努力。比如1998年度展会新增了座谈会和研讨会内容，有关人士就“游戏作品的国际化”、“多媒体网站的建设”等主题发表自己的意见；2001年度因应微软加入TV游戏战团而将展览主题定为“TV游戏的未来”等。这些措施都收到了明显的成效。

   到今天，E3已经成为全球规模最大的互动娱乐、教育软件及相关产品的展示会，是所有电子娱乐从业人员的年度盛会，有着“电子娱乐界一年一度的奥林匹克盛会”的美誉。在这几年的E3大展中，涌现了多少个电子游戏明星？又有多少游戏制作理念从这里传出，进而影响了全球电子娱乐产业的走向？……E3的历史就是近年来电子娱乐产业发展的历史，关注E3，就等于关注瞬息万变的电子游戏市场。

游戏产业当红，每年针对游戏举办的相关展览也不少，以下稍微跟大家整理一下目前全球主要电玩展览、活动的时间表，给大家参考一下：

《鐵拳 5》可能於 E3 展出？

　　先前曾報導過，來自英國遊戲網站的消息指出，NAMCO 正在進行其招牌 3D 格鬥遊戲《鐵拳》最新作《鐵拳 5》的開發，並將可能於 E3 展出，如今該網站又引據與 NAMCO 關係良好的消息來源，更進一步確認了《鐵拳 5》開發中的傳聞。

　　根據該消息來源的說法，《鐵拳》的開發團隊艱辛的坐視競爭對手《Virtua Fighter 4》在推出超過 2 年的情形下還能於日本大型電玩市場佔有極高的收益，面對此情況，開發團隊將適當的改變《鐵拳 5》的遊戲性，以更有效的投入市場競爭。

　　該消息來源並表示，由於 E3 展多半展出即將上市的遊戲，所以《鐵拳 5》不一定會於 E3 發表，而可能被保留到 9 月的東京電玩展才展出，實際情況須待 E3 正式開始後才能確認。

　　近期內將發售的《鐵拳》相關遊戲有以 Nina 為主角的《Death by Degrees》，以及前幾日所報導的《鐵拳》柏青嫂機台，正統《鐵拳》續作一直沒有下文，令《鐵拳》迷們望穿秋水，如今露出了一線曙光，有興趣的玩家請密切注意後續的發展。

Though E3 is always home to major announcements from many and varied companies, Sega in particular has something that will apparently knock our socks off on the first day of the show. Sega of America today invited the press to a special event on the morning of May 12, at which it will reveal 'BIG news you'd NEVER guess.'

Sega has for some time seemed to be one of E3's biggest wild cards, with a dearth of titles on its 2004 release list and a great many development teams with no announced projects on the boards. Sega of America has also recently stated an intention to acquire more third-party-developed titles for publication -- in particular, there have been rumblings that it may be looking to enter the massively-multiplayer online RPG market.

The picture has started filling in over the past few weeks, with the announcement of new Shining Force titles from Amusement Vision, but there's still more left to be unveiled. We'll have an eye out for more news leading into the show.

思えばソニックチームの中裕司氏が最新のファミ通の巻末の「浜村通信」でこんなことを言っていました

中「んー、まぁ、年末になれば、ハードまわりでいろいろ動きもありますしね」

しかし、セガはこの噂に関してはコメントできないとしているようです(･ω･`)

中：'恩，年末是有些硬件方面的动作。'

As E3 draws near, Nintendo is stoking up even more interest in its showcase. After the recent announcement that Super Mario Sunshine co-director Koizumi-san will be talking about a secret project at E3, Nintendo has gone all out on the shocks by letting slip that it will reveal a brand new IP (Intellectual Property) at the show.

According to reports, an industry source close to Nintendo has claimed that the US press, under a non-disclosure agreement, has already seen this mysterious new asset.

Rumours are rife as to what this product could be - some believe it will take the form of a new GameCube title - but no matter what, the IP is going to be one of the key announcements at E3 this year.

[NDS]Telegames 發表二款遊戲　

任天堂預定於今年年底餘全球同步推出的新一代掌上型遊樂器「NDS（Nintendo Dual Screen）」，預定將於 E3 正式發表，先前並預告將有超過 30 款以上的遊戲同時發表，美國德州的開發商 Telegames 日前即正式公佈兩款製作中的 NDS 遊戲。

Telegames 是一家製作卡片與桌上型遊戲的開發商，這次所發表的兩款 NDS 遊戲分別為：

《動腦遊戲（Brain Games，暫稱）》：包含西洋棋、西洋跳棋、西洋 15 子棋戲、麻將、多米諾骨牌、4-in-a-Row、艦隊戰、反牌、將棋、圍棋等。

《卡片遊戲（Card Games，暫稱）》：包含拱豬、Spades、橋牌、Euchre、Cribbage、卡奈斯塔、金羅美、Go Fish、Crazy Eights、Chess、Pinochle、Draw Poker、21 點、Texas Hold 'Em、Skat，以及 50 種單人牌戲與 5 種電動撲克等。

　　先前曾有許多傳聞指出《FF VII》將以遊戲方式重現，而繼《Final Fantasy VII Advent Children》這款影像作品之後，又出現了《Beyond Crisis － Final Fantasy VII》，可見《FF VII》人氣歷久不衰，E3 是否會出現不在名單之內的隱藏強打？請密切注意後續相關報導。

在美國市場上，電玩產業成長已從兩位數降到個位數。各界對該產業今年的預估也大異其趣，某些分析師認為，除非電玩產品銷售受到遊戲機硬體降價的提振，否則成長率可能會低至3%。

在成長放緩的同時，由於各廠商要把財務風險降到最低，因此就不斷重復已取得成功的作品，向好萊塢(荷里活)的模式學習，只要公眾願意掏腰包，就會盡可能反覆延續之前的作品；而這情況也可能為業界的創造力帶來危機。

**焦點作品**

因為展會並不對公眾開放，大多數遊戲迷都只能在網站上取得關於最熱門遊戲的細節消息。展會組織者提供了網站E3Insider.com (http://www.e3insider.com)，另有數以百計的電玩迷網站上也會提供相關消息。

不過，遊戲迷們對於一些參展遊戲已經是迫不及待。

IGN/GameSpy透過其GamerMetrics.com研究產品對約20萬人進行調查顯示，人們最期待的遊戲是《最後一戰2》、任天堂<7974>的《銀河戰士2》(Metroid Prime 2)、《戰慄時空2》和《跑車浪漫旅4》。

這些遊戲預期都將在E3上展出。

Hsu和電玩網站1UP.com的編輯肯尼迪(Sam Kennedy)表示，此次大展中的焦點遊戲可能還包括Midway Games 的《禁區51》(Area 51)、Sony的《Killzone》、藝電(Electronic Arts)的新作《魔戒》(The Lord of the Rings)和微軟的《翡翠帝國》(Jade Empire)。(完)
