GBA SP invades China
Nintendo and iQue to release the Game Boy Advance SP later this month in 21 different cities in China.
TOKYO--Nintendo has announced that it will launch the Game Boy Advance SP in China on October 27, Bloomberg Japan is reporting. iQue, the joint venture between Nintendo and former Silicon Graphics president Wai Yen, will release the handheld system in 21 different locations across China, including Beijing and Shanghai. The price of the unit will differ depending on the region in which it is sold.
The original Game Boy Advance hardware has been available in China since June.
Nintendo and Wai Yen established iQue in 2003, with both sides putting up equal portions of capital. The company released a gaming device called the iQue Player, which plays a number of Nintendo 64 titles, last October.
