Game 2
Kashiwagi started play with “Solar Recharge”, discarding a Lyla, to draw two cards and sent from the top of his Deck “D.D. Crow” and “Raiza the Storm Monarch”. Up next for Kashiwagi was a Summon of “Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner” and with a discard of "Torrential Tribute" he Special Summoned Lyla back to life! He Set one back row Spell or Trap Card and ended. During the End Phase cards were sent from the top of the Deck to the Graveyard, and a “Wulf, Lightsworn Beast” was ditched, which was promptly Special Summoned.
During Miguel’s Standby Phase Kashiwagi played “Trap Dustshoot”, revealing “Mystical Space Typhoon”, “Torrential Tribute”, “Destiny Hero - Fear Monger”, “Dark Armed Dragon”, “Spirit Reaper”, and “Mystic Tomato”. Kashiwagi opted for the “Dark Armed Dragon” to get sent back to the Deck. Miguel Summoned “Mystic Tomato”, attacked it into the Lumina and caused 400 damage. This ended Miguel’s productive turn.
Kashiwagi considered his options — he needed a way around “Mystic Tomato” which wouldn’t loose him tempo, but couldn’t find it. Wulf collided with Miguel’s Tomato, and with Tomato’s effect Miguel Special Summoned another Tomato. This was then attacked by the Lyla, dropping Miguel to 7000 Life Points and “Sangan” was recruited to the field through the second Tomato’s effect. During Kashiwagi’s end phase he sent three cards from the top of his Deck through Lyla’s Effect and ended.
Miguel drew and considered his now defensive options. He simply switched “Sangan” to Defense Position and ended his turn.
Kashiwagi crunched some numbers on his calculator — this wasn’t looking good for Miguel. He Summoned “Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior” and played “Premature Burial” to add to his growing field. Miguel couldn’t stop this and Kashiwagi Special Summoned “Celestia, Lightsworn Angel”, to the field. To add more bite to his looming attacks, he played “Monster Reborn”, which brought back “Honest” to the field. During the Battle Phase “Honest” collided with the “Sangan”, but it didn’t matter what Miguel would search for, as Kashiwagi’s arsenal on field was more than enough to wipe him out that turn!
Both played quickly reached for the Side Deck for the final time. Were going into the deciding game!
